Purpose

Our officially recognized corporate purposes

The Corporation is formed and shall be operated exclusively for religious and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. In furtherance of these purposes, the Corporation shall be organized and operated to foster intelligent intercessory prayer on behalf of the human community, both locally and beyond, and shall be further organized and operated to support, enable and assist Christian individuals and groups who desire to provide appropriate human services in keeping with and as an expression of the religious and charitable beliefs, convictions and goals of the Corporation. Such services shall be made available to persons in need regardless of religious affiliation or denomination and without discrimination against any individual on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, creed, lifestyle, socioeconomic status, ability to pay, or insurance coverage.

More specifically, the Corporation shall be organized and operated to support, enable and assist Christian physicians and other individuals and groups who believe in the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death and who desire to develop and sponsor workshops, outreach programs, and family oriented ministries of guidance and inspiration, hope and encouragement, spiritual and religious instruction, and health and wellness care for persons who live in underserved neighborhoods in the Rochester, New York, area and elsewhere. Corporate support, including but not restricted to operating licensed health care facilities, shall be reserved exclusively for service providers and programs that demonstrate a comprehensive, Christ-centered approach to ministry which relates to those being served as whole persons in body, soul and spirit, that is, as physical, psychosocial and spiritual beings, with a particular focus on those with limited resources.

The Corporation shall offer its support, enablement and assistance in various ways, including but not limited to advice and counsel, corporate sponsorship, and provision of space, material and/or personnel, either on a donated, loaned, subsidized, rented, leased, purchased or otherwise contracted basis. To these ends, the Corporation shall have authority to take and hold by bequest, devise, gift, grant, purchase, lease or otherwise any property, real, tangible or intangible, or any undivided interest therein without limitation as to amount or value; to sell, convey or otherwise dispose of any property and to invest, reinvest or deal with the principal and income thereof in such manner as, in the judgment of its directors, will best promote the purposes of the Corporation without limitation, except such limitations, if any, as may be contained in the instrument under which said property is received, this Certificate of Incorporation, the By-laws of the Corporation or any laws applicable thereto.
